Alaknanda River-Tributari of sacred ganga

The Alaknanda originates from the confluence of two mountain streams, the Satopanth and the Bhagirathi Kharak, near the Badrinath temple in the state of Uttarakhand, India.

Rudraprayag- Prayag Where the ganaga emerge

Rudraprayag is one of the five prayag where the confluence of alaknanda and mandakini. The river emerges from between the twin peaks of Nar and Narayan Parvat.
